thunderstorm drawings glow in the dark
Midnight Thunderstorm Installation
Phosphorescent Paint
14' x 8' (overall installation)
2006

In 2006 I was invited to participate in a two person show, in the now closed Gallery 40,000 space in Chicago. The title of the show was Forecast, the double meaning of this word was appropriate to a visual play on weather systems, as well as the notion of predictability.
These drawings are made with phosphorescent paint. Under a black light the work glows. under normal gallery lighting the drawing disappears, just like the flash of a lightning bolt in a thunderstorm.
